Hey, I’m Alex 👋
I’m a technologist and builder who’s excited to find out what the next decade of software engineering looks like. Now that agents work, what are the next layers to build on top? What does it mean to grasp systems that we didn’t directly write? How can products continuously improve autonomously, including while we sleep? A small part of me misses writing code by hand, but I’m overwhelmingly grateful for the opportunity to build things I never thought I’d get to. I’m having more fun in software than ever.
Previously I’ve worked on large-scale test automation systems, enterprise knowledge management, productivity software interface design, and evolutionary ecology research. I’m particularly fond of linters, domain modeling, and punny open source project names. Outside software, I like to design LEGO characters, produce electronic music, and tend to my four dozen or so Monstera, Calathea, Hoya, and other assorted houseplants.
