Hello! My name is Alice and I live in Chicago. I joined GitHub in January 2022 to work on machine learning initiatives for Copilot. My contributions have included building out new code completion, chat, and extensibility features; improving model and prompting quality; and evaluating performance through offline benchmarks and online experimentation. At Next I primarily focus on training LLMs to enhance developer productivity. I love finding creative solutions to hard problems.
Before GitHub I worked in a variety of roles conducting research, training models, and building machine learning services across NLP and computer vision domains. In my personal time I enjoy experimental art and music, long meandering walks in both urban and natural settings, and tending to my backyard vegetable garden.
