Hey! I'm Mara, and I'm super excited to join the GitHub Next team. 💫

I started out as a computational chemist, writing code to explore the microscopic world. That curiosity soon pulled me into data science and machine learning, where I worked on digitalization projects and discovered a growing passion for building things. Eventually, that led me to fully dive into software development—and I haven't looked back since.

Now I'm a developer and open source advocate who enjoys mentoring and solving meaningful problems, especially where science meets AI. When I'm not coding, I love sketching, gaming, or spending time outdoors with family and friends.
