Our Team
Hey there, I'm David! I started at GitHub in December 2022, working on Copilot modeling and evaluation benchmarks, and joined GitHub Next in May 2024.
My main research interest at the moment is machine learning for code, though I have a love for all things security and privacy as well.
Prior to GitHub, I was the Principal Investigator (PI) on multiple DARPA research programs for Two Six Technologies, including DARPA GARD, where we evaluated the robustness of machine learning models to adversarial attack, DARPA MUSE, where we applied machine learning to code before it was cool (i.e., before LLMs), and numerous cybersecurity-related programs.
